How DineProfile tracks the price of your regular items
An item counts as a regular once you’ve bought the item at least six times over six months or more. DineProfile takes the price you paid per unit on your first three purchases and on your latest three, and lists every regular whose price moved by 5% or more, up or down. Each row shows the item, the two prices, the years between them and the change as a percentage.
Restaurant dishes get the same treatment on Swiggy and Zomato, matched by restaurant, so you can see what your usual biryani or coffee costs now compared with your oldest orders.
What paying below MRP adds up to
Grocery apps often sell items below the printed MRP. Your report adds up the difference between MRP and what you paid on every grocery item that listed an MRP on your receipt, so you can see the total discount across all your orders. The same savings section counts free delivery and waived fees.
Why the same basket costs different amounts
- Prices change by item and over time, the same item can cost a different amount on each app, and offers come and go.
- Fees sit on top of the item prices: handling fees, small-cart fees, delivery fees and late-night fees. The grocery fees guide explains each fee.
- Quantities differ between orders. Your report divides each item’s amount by the quantity on the receipt, so buying two packs in one order doesn’t count as a price rise.
