What Swiggy and Zomato charge the same
- The platform fee. In March 2026 Swiggy’s platform fee became ₹17.58 an order including GST, and Zomato’s platform fee came to the same ₹17.58 with GST, Republic reported. Both apps can charge a different platform fee by city and by day.
- GST. Restaurant food ordered through either app carries 5% GST, and the platform fee carries 18% GST.
- A membership. Swiggy sells Swiggy One and Zomato sells Zomato Gold, and both memberships offer free delivery and member discounts on eligible orders.
Where the two apps differ for you
